Oceans is the music project by the Melbourne-based artist Thomas Lee, and Pure is the most recent single, a sterling new wave banger mixed with shoegaze outbursts characterized by the enslaving gloomy vocals, the impeccable bass line and the 80s aesthetics, -and sound-, some of us cannot, or perhaps don’t want, ever get over. The track is out via the mighty Shelflife Records, but could very well belong in the priceless Sarah Records’roster. Give this ear-candy some spins, or more precisely streams, and you may catch yourself shamelessly sing-along its chorus in front of your mirror. “Pure gold”….
