About Abigail Fierce

Ultra_eko – ‘The Second Chapter’

About Ultra_eko

Ultra_eko is a new and original South London based independent hip-hop artist. He has begun releasing music only since Summer 2019, but in that time has demonstrated a varied, eclectic and wholly unique voice within the genre.

His first EP, ‘Kitchen Sink Dramas’ – 6 tracks of deep and dark stories, will be released on March 27th. A full length album is planned for an Autumn release.

Whilst his music would certainly be classed as hip-hop, there is not a distinct or identifiable sound by which to recognise it. Rather, it is the unique voice of Ultra_eko himself, the self-professed storyteller, whose powerful writing and vision shines through in every track. His passion is evident, and in every track he has a story to tell, a journey upon which to take his listeners and hold them captive. His are often dark tales, touching on regret, struggles between conflicted lovers, breakdowns in relationships, lies and deceit, the difficulties of understanding ourselves and our place in the modern world. The fragile identities we all cling to, liable to crack and fracture at any time. There is a depth and authenticity to the voices in which he writes, and this comes from his own wealth of experience. Born and raised in South London, Ultra_eko has lived and worked his life amongst the people of whom he writes. The colourful and dramatic life he has lived, market trader, pro gambler, bootlegger, amongst others, is his source of inspiration.

Pauline Andres – ‘Til the End of the World’ (Acoustic Apocalypse Studio Version) [Live]

About Pauline Andres

Born in France a coal miner’s daughter, Pauline Andres made a name for herself with a sweet and smoky voice that “perfectly conveys the thoughts and observations of an old soul walking home at closing time.”

She grew up “a mutt” (her words) in a family of mainly Hungarian and Slovenian descent by the German border in a town where the local dialect was more common than the official language. Caught between the fun of it all and the harsh personal and social truths that lead to such an environment, Andres started taking notes.

She wrote her first song in broken English at the age of 8 and eventually learned what would be her third language by translating lyrics of Oasis songs with the help of her mom; a free, creative spirited tarot reader who always encouraged her daughter to do what she had to. That would include moving to several countries without a clue on how to pay rent, forming bands, doing odd jobs, getting heartbroken and leaving town to start over again. “My mom has always encouraged me to follow my dreams. In my family, in my hometown, that is truly groundbreaking and brave.”

Evoletah – ‘Lucky Star’

About Evoletah

Matt Cahill is an Australian singer/songwriter & composer. As a graduate of the Ryzard Pusz School of Percussion he has been actively involved with bands since the early eighties, although most notably in his 13 year tenure as ‘Vocalist/Guitarist’ with the multi award winning Australian band ‘The Violets’. Disillusioned with the traditional ‘band’ format, he eventually formed EVOLETAH, not so much as a band but as a ‘musical project’ to record songs written for The Violets that had never been recorded. Having ‘Cherry Picked’ members, this resulted in the projects initial offering ‘Fool’s Errand’.

Fruta Brutal – ‘Mercy from Mortality’

About Fruta Brutal

Fruta Brutal offers an eclectic repertoire of English, Spanish, and Spanglish compositions. The band’s message culminates in the effort to combat racial inequality and injustice through a repertoire showcasing a stylistic synthesis of Latin-American based rhythms with indie rock/pop. As an Ecuadorian immigrant living in the US, I create music with the intention of enabling intersections between listeners that potentially wouldn’t otherwise be part of the same audience: English and Spanish speakers, as well as bilingual people, who come together to celebrate being part of the same society through engaging in the artistic realm. These upcoming singles continue to showcase the synthetic approach of Fruta Brutal, while implementing more modern tendencies.
