What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

For me personally (Zak/singer) it was the elephant in the room. I’d tried lots of stuff at an embarrassingly mediocre level and starting a band with the other 3 hit us in college during the whole party scene. This band is those drunken plans that actually happened haha.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

it’s the single greatest piece of audio ever to be released by any man, woman or dolphin. We are dead proud of it and we have been showering in the kind words about it. Which sounds amazing but we do love the odd angry review now and again!

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Dylan Rieder, Nick Cave, Matt Bellamy, Kevin Parker, Amy Winehouse, Wolf Alice. Honestly we all listen to a varied mixture of rap, metal, psych, pop, indie and jazz. But the ones above are probably the better ingredients found in our music.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

Simple, we are far uglier than any of you other wannabies. Oh you think you’re an alt rock band? Is being a bit noisy your quirk? Mate we can out ugly any other band on Earth (except maybe like 5 or 6). But saying that I reckon we disguise it well behind hooks and poppy based songwriting. Ultimately we just like writing music that’s 1. Fun to play and 2. Fun to crowdsurfing to.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

ahhh fuck this question man. Probablyyyyy… the Sam Fender album is pretty good. There’s a book I like called “The Prophet”. But tbf I think if us as a band was stranded on an island the essentials would be: King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizzard’s whole discography and about a gallon of gin.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

I think our rhythm section would say studio, but me and Lenny love being sweaty and messy. We enjoy both as a unit though. Personally I don’t reckon ya can beat crowdsurfing. It’s better than shagging.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Lenny once made instant noodles with boiled lager At a festival we played. Rock n roll.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

probably Dopamine. It’s the ugliness thing again. It sounding horrible was no accident. Or Goodbye Beautiful, don’t see any other bands Covering Italian anti-facist war chants tehe.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

we have a sick 2020 ahead. If you like being entertained by top shelf idiots then buckle up baby and enjoy the ride.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…
