In pursuit of musical intimacy, Martin Rott retreated to “The Treehouse,” a studio nestled in the woodlands at Carrick Mountain, Wicklow, Ireland. Surrounded by nature near Glendalough Natural Reserve, he captured the cover image for the solo piano version of A New Home. The studio’s centenarian August Förster piano, once in Berlin, was revived by Carsten Schulz, the piano technician for two leading neo-classical artists. This historic instrument, a key muse, added depth to the compositions, forging a harmonious connection between nature, history, and craftsmanship in this secluded haven, where the essence of creativity resonates.
