It all began when mysterious posters appeared in the streets of Los Angeles, and after the shows on 2nd and 3rd June 2016 at the Hollywood Palladium in California, it is now official. The members of RATM (without Zach de la Rocha), Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy join forces to create “… an elite task force of revolutionary musicians…”, as Tom Morello stated to Rolling Stone.

The three bands hold great respect for one another. RATM have covered Cypress Hill’s ‘How Could I Just Kill A Man‘ in ‘Renegades‘ album. Commerford said that Cypress Hill have been an influence for RATM, and Chuck-D claimed that RATM are the “Led Zeppelin of our time”.

Although RATM haven’t been around for quite a long time now, the members said that they haven’t split up as a band. The three bands will continue their work while they give this project a shot, which, as they said, sprung out of political need. Apart from the common live shows, they will work on an album under the name ‘Prophets of Rage’.
