The Seattle based indie trio Naked Giants have released a quirky new music video for their single ‘Everybody Thinks They Know (But No One Really Knows)‘. It’s two minutes and twenty two seconds of offbeat humor and hidden gems throughout – you can find something new in a single shot each time you look, much like the band itself. Having released an EP in 2016, ‘R.I.P. EP‘, Naked Giants are gathering their weird carefree vibes for ‘SLUFF‘ – a 12-track debut set to be in your hands on March 30th via New West Records.

What exactly is “sluff” you may be wondering. Well I’m glad you asked, according to the band’s website it’s either “slang for the black gunk that comes off your shoes when it snows in the winter, an acronym that stands for South Lake Union Fuck Face (a reference to the tech bros who have infiltrated Seattle in recent years) or what a snake does when it sheds its skin”, depending on which band member you ask. No matter what ‘SLUFF‘ is in actuality, the album was recorded at Avast! and Soundhouse Studios in Seattle with producer Steve Fisk who has worked with Nirvana, Low, Screaming Trees, and Beat Happening in the past, among others. The band is currently a month out from performing at Austin’s SXSW festival this March and embarking on a worldwide tour with Car Seat Headrest, both as an opening act and as part of Car Seat’s seven-piece live band.
