  1. The Suncharms – ‘Red Dust’

Red Dust‘ is the first new song after a long time pause, of the Sheffield’s indiepop/shoegaze band The Suncharms. After remaining on hiatus since 1993,  they git back in action in 2016, leading to the same year’s, self-titled release of a CD compilation.

Red Dust‘ is one of the single series of The Suncharms that will be released via Slumberland Records as as part for the SLR30 Singles Subscription Series. The band formed in 1989 and it is basically an atmospheric indie-pop one but they are often classified in the shoegaze genre. Noisy guitars and hazy atmospheric vocals are the key features that characterize their music.

  1. Monstrosity – ‘Cosmic Pandemis

After eleven years since their last release, Monstrosity’s new album ‘The Passage Of Existence‘ is coming on September 7th via Metal Blade Records. The legends of the 90s death metal scene from Florida are returning in ‘brutality’. Lee Harrison (drums) among other comments: “First off, I present to you the masterpiece of masterpieces in the Monstrosity universe…”.

  1. Belzebubs– ‘Blackened Call’

If you search for Belzebubs you will come across of a black metal comic series created by Finnish artist JP Ahonen. As it is mentioned, these series were created as a therapeutic mean and behind the stories it is the life of the band. Belzebubs seem to come from a tough journey, however their new album is due to release in February 2019. ‘Blackened Call‘ is Belzebubs’ first single and the video is of course inspired by the comics’ figures.

  1. Poirot – ‘Constellations

Wow, this is what I really needed to hear within the World Cup matches: Some pure, indie pop from Pillow-man George Dimopoulos, and his solo vehicle Poirot. ‘Constellations‘ is a superb indie gem, coming out later this year, under the name ‘September Arrhythmia‘. Press the play below, and repeat after me:

Constellations dying down

Sit in peace before the show

Take a breath and look around

It’s getting late before you know

And I love you baby

I miss your every flaw

And I’ll see you baby

When it’s really time to go

Constellations trick your mind

Magic lights from years ago

If you ever look behind

You’re to lose that shiny glow

  1. Xxxtentacion– ‘SAD!

One of the 2018’s death that have marked 2018 mostly (at least for me) is the one of the promising rapper Xxxtentacion. ‘SAD!‘ is an excellent posthumous video showing the rapper attending his own funeral. Yep, this is quite a punch, but this is life and Xxxtentacion lived life to 1000%. Enjoy(?)
