Shayna McHayle, otherwise known as Junglepussy, has recently announced the release of her album, ‘JP3‘. As the title might imply, it’s the New York-based rapper’s third release, following 2014’s ‘Satisfaction Guaranteed‘ mixtape and 2015’s ‘Pregnant With Success‘ full-length. The album is due out May 11th and features contributions from Wiki, Rico Love, Gangsta Boo, and Quiñ. ‘Trader Joe‘ is the most recent single off the LP, with ‘State Of Union‘ and ‘Showers‘ being released earlier in the year. The track is produced by Kashaka who’s best known for his work with Phony Ppl and Wati Heru.
Junglepussy herself can soon be found in “Support The Girls“, an upcoming film from director Andrew Bujalski that’s already received extolled reviews at SXSW. The film takes a look at the complex world of a sexist sports bar and the waitresses who work there, and has been complimented for it’s thoughtfulness. Junglepussy stars as the serious attitude-filled Danyelle. You can check out the album art, ‘JP3‘s entire tracklist, and listen to ‘Trader Joe‘ down below.
