Ambient artist Liz Harris, aka Grouper, has announced a new album out next month: ‘Grid Of Points‘. The LP is the follow-up to 2014’s critically acclaimed ‘Ruins‘. In concert with the announcement Grouper also released the first single off ‘Grid Of Points‘, the piano-led ‘Parking Lot‘.

Harris spoke on the album via press release: “I wrote these songs over a week and a half; they stopped abruptly when I was interrupted by a high fever. Though brief, it is complete. The intimacy and abbreviation of this music allude to an essence that the songs lyrics speak more directly of. The space left after matter has departed, a stage after the characters have gone, the hollow of some central column, missing.” You can get your hands on ‘Grid Of Points‘ April 27th via Kranky and check out the new single down below, along with a list of tour dates.
