Rosa Raye – ‘When We Were Good’

About Rosa Raye

Rosa Raye is an upcoming Danish artist, singer and songwriter, who made her debut this summer with her feel-good R&B/pop single ‘Living Spree’. The single got positive reviews from music blogs and magazines in many different parts of the world, and she soon followed up the release with ‘On Paper’ – a track with a chill, dreamy vibe questioning the idea of “the perfect guy”. It was recommended by Soundvenue – one of the biggest music media outlets/magazines in her home country Denmark. In October, she’s ready to drop her third song this year. It’s called ‘When We Were Good’, and it talks about reminiscing, remembering the good memories of a relationship that has gone bad.

The music has modern R&B/soul-influenced productions with retro elements, sassy, honest lyrics, and catchy melodies performed by Rosa’s rich, powerful voice. She writes and sings about whatever is on her mind at the time – and she doesn’t sugarcoat it.

Rosa Raye has been inspired by American music and entertainment since she was a little girl, starting out singing the songs of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Beyoncé. Now she finds much of her inspiration among the new generation of R&B artists. Songwriting trips to New York, Nashville and Los Angeles also inspired her musical direction – especially the L.A. vibe and experiences. She has worked with many producers and songwriters from Scandinavia, the U.S. and the U.K. and had a record deal with a major label in her home country. However, Rosa Raye is now an independent artist and 100% in charge of the vision and project.

Magic Bronson – ‘I Don’t Know Man’

About Magic Bronson

Self-described as ‘profoundly uneasy,’ Magic Bronson takes unnerving and anxious energy and channels it into songs that ultimately lift you from a place of uneasiness. Comprised of Matt Lieberman (bass, synths and lyricist) and Michael Nicastro (vocals, synths, production and lyricist) Magic Bronson began back in 2012 when the fated musical duo met at a neighborhood bar. They turned out to be greater than the sum of their parts, a classic pairing of opposites.

With a commanding stage presence, three EP’s, a full-length album, coverage in publications like Billboard, Earmilk, and KCRW, plus dozens of placements on both the large and small screen, Magic Bronson has amassed a legion of diehard fans that gobble up their music and turn out for their shows en masse.

No one can accuse the multi-talented duo of coloring within the lines when it comes to making music. They write without boundaries, with lyrics sprung from whatever miscarriage of justice they perceive in the world. Their winning combination of lyrics and melody-making has earned their songs coveted placements in numerous movies and television shows that include The Rookie, Suits, You’re the Worst, and the feature film Certain Women with Michelle Williams and Kristen Stewart. Of particular note was their 2017 track “Nervous,” about “All the things that make you nervous/crooked cops and guilty verdicts.” The song sprang to life after Kendall and Kylie Jenner used it to soundtrack an Instagram ad for their fashion line. It was played on rotation in New York City taxi cabs during the Spring 2017 Fashion Week and currently has over 5 million streams on Spotify alone.

About Toy Cities

Toy Cities is the collaboration between childhood friends Michael Nesci (vocals, guitar) and Mitch Lee (bass, synth). The Brooklyn based act pulls influence from their shared love of post-punk, new wave and the British jangle bands of the 80s and 90s.

BornByMan – ‘Your Innermost Soul’

About BornByMan

BornByMan is a Danish virtual band created in 2019 by two animated members Leo and M de S.

We have all become part of the great social experiment, that is, living in the digital age with new communities, status symbols and manipulations. The virtual has become the new reality – also within the music industry. It is in this new reality that the BornByMan virtual band has been created. The two animated members of the band are a personification of the era of social media and comes to life through the contributions of their online followers.

BornByMan’s songs focus on interreality and the dilemmas that the online presence can create. In this manner, the music questions the essence of human nature in the encounter with technology. This is reflected in the music’s dreamy sound, which moves between warm, acoustic tones and cold, mechanical synthesizers.
