The Best Around is an indie alternative rock band from Austin, TX that formed in the Spring of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to maintain social distancing, each member recorded their parts separately in their own homes. Rarely collaborating or discussing how the songs should turn out, instead files would just show up in inboxes allowing each member to decide what to add. Despite mixing up the order, this is how all their songs have been produced. Using each members previous experience most of their songs contains some elements of punk, post-punk, folk rock, synthpop/rock, new wave, psychedelic rock, garage rock, electronic and jazz.

About Tangerine

Founded in Seattle by sisters Marika and Miró Justad and Toby Kuhn, TANGERINE is currently based in Los Angeles. TANGERINE’s upcoming single, out March 19th 2021, was recorded after a period of heartache and personal loss due to a death in the Justad family. Quarantined together in LA, the band built a home studio and began the process of turning their emotions into sound.

TANGERINE have been dubbed “girl group grunge-gorgeous indie” (The Guardian), “dreamy pop” (Billboard), and “windows down pop” (Rookie Magazine). About Matty Reynolds

Matty Reynolds is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from New York. He’s been writing songs since second grade; back then, he was just writing lyrics and humming melodies, until he learned how to play guitar at age 12 and piano at age 14. With Jeremy Zucker and Jon Bellion as his main musical inspirations, he uses songwriting as a creative outlet to express what he is feeling.

Everything changed for Matty when he created his TikTok account at 17. He started gaining attention from people all around the world who admired his honest songwriting and unique voice. He released his first single, “Last September,” on April 16, 2021, which spoke to falling in love with someone that you know you can never see again. His fans had been incredibly vocal about their excitement for his subsequent release, “(another) hotel party,” which was released on August 13th and garnered over 1 million streams in 1 week.

KIN – ‘The Runaways’

KIN are Grace, Ritu and Adam; a female-led, London-based trio. The band blends electronic keys and catchy guitar riffs to produce a sound that is unique, dynamic, and constantly evolving. Influences include indie powerhouses such as The XX, Warpaint, Still Corners and Foals as well as female fronted bands like Chromatics, Cocteau Twins and Soccer Mommy.

The band all have a creative background; Grace is a performance maker and model, and Ritu and Adam are both actors. Adam was last seen on stage at the National Theatre and Ritu is a lead in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy and is about to star in the film Red Notice alongside Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson. They also have a growing and engaged social media presence; with over 900k followers across their individual and band accounts on Instagram.

KIN are an experienced live band and proud of their strong, collaborative relationships with venues and promoters. They’ve performed at venues including The Victoria (Jaguarshoes Collective), The Finsbury (Get in Her Ears), The Grace (DHP) and Tramlines Festival (The Library Stage supporting the Big Moon), as well as travelling to Chicago, IL to play Reggies’ Live and film a live session for DZ Records. They have also been featured on the new online series Get On by Roobi.Live, filmed at the 606 Club.

About Transmission Lost

Transmission Lost is the pseudonym of American alternative artist Garret Ashton, a prolific singer-songwriter/guitarist based in Houston, Texas. He takes elements of his rock, punk, grunge, blues, hip-hop, and electronic music roots and combines them to tell the stories about hope, fate, love, death, search for meaning, and the spaces in between.

Originally from the small town of Fruitland, Idaho, Garret grew up playing guitar with his two cousins and was surrounded by peaceful views of the countryside. They were big fans of grunge, especially Stone Temple Pilots. At first, he was drawn to play covers. By the age of 17, he made the decision to make his own stuff. Fascinated by guitar, he felt he was good at piecing together chord progressions while writing songs.

By the time he moved to Texas, he had plenty of songs so his next step was founding his own project, Transmission Lost. His first band linеup was active during 2018. Everyone had their own ideas so Garret decided to continue on his own. His biggest influences stemmed from Linkin Park, RHCP, Yellowcard, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Awolnation, 21 Pilots, Nothing But Thieves, Queen, The Killers, Stone Temple Pilots.
