elison – ‘Fruit Flies’

About elison

Des Moines, Iowa indie rock/shoegaze/dream pop duo, Elison is Marissa Kephart, lead singer and guitarist, and Scott Yoshimura (The Envy Corps, Canby), producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. The duo formed after Scott produced Marissa’s first-ever song, “Meet Me Halfway” in the summer of 2021. During that time they found they shared a love for much of the same late 90s and early 2000s indie rock bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Yo La Tengo and Death Cab for Cutie. Sonically sweet, melodically vibrant, dreamy guitars and lush atmospheric sounds are highlighted throughout their previous releases.

Jill Blutt – ‘Heaven’

About Jill Blutt

Jill Blutt is an artist, songwriter, producer, and overall really nice, cool and chill person. Born and raised in New York City, Jill enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as late nights, loud music, and avoiding things like long walks on beaches. Jill’s music blends melancholy dream pop elements with a sprinkle of muck and mire, modernizing lyric-forward sentimentality against a dreamlike electronic backdrop. What emerges is a timelessly nostalgic love letter to the loneliness of the human existence—the perfect soundtrack to staring contemplatively out the window on your way home from the club at five AM.

Halo Kitsch – ‘hollywood *starlette’

About Halo Kitsch

Born into a big family and a small mobile home park on the fringe of suburbia, just outside of Los Angeles, Halo Kitsch fell in love with the piano from a very young age – it would be the first instrument she’d learn to play, and become her favourite place to write songs. The songs Halo created at that age were just silly little tunes, but they were catchy enough to stick in her family’s heads, and something about hearing her own music hummed through the house felt very magical to her. Halo felt so free singing, and it was self-care for her, and even when she began to struggle with depression in college, which turned into a dark addiction, music was her outlet through it all.

Halo dropped out of college in her third year, and would spend her time working three jobs to save for equipment and studio sessions, and at the piano writing more songs, with her catalogue growing from one song to over forty, and her sessions evolving from her bedroom to garages to studio sessions with longtime collaborator and producer Ben Zelico. A true ‘90s rock baby with the low-rise jeans, bra straps and heavy eyeliner to match, Halo Kitsch treats music like the indie legends before her, crafting it as carefully as the best do – she is a rockstar in the most authentic way, from the leather pants to the unbridled vocals to the captivating stage presence, Halo Kitsch is “Jill’s indie pop rock bxtch”.

Ellie Moon – ‘Bad TV’

About Ellie Moon

Liverpool-born and Madrid-bred musician Ellie Moon returns with her new single ‘Don’t Date Me’. The world is bound to re-fall back in love with her quirky melodies, razor-sharp humour and lyrics, which call upon the everyday and mundane to create her own unique brand of hits. Think of Ellie Moon as the lyrical and melodical love-child of Jarvis Cocker and Gwen Stefani.

With a strong visual campaign to coincide with each single and her EP release, Ellie’s unique approach to bringing her music to life is something that is a rarity in the music industry, think Vogue meets bedroom punk. There are also musical similarities to the style of MARINA with a fiercer demeanor to match. Ellie may look like your bubblegum-girl next door, but with her comes an attitude not to be messed with. Her sound is a glorious mix of groovy bass lines, sassy sounds of Casio and infectious pop hooks. This powerfully upbeat, accessible pop sound is enhanced by Ellie’s self-deprecating lyrics, holding together each song with a charm that’s impossible to resist.
