CNJR – ‘FVR’

About CNJR

Founded in the rainy pacific northwest, CNJR is a queer artist & nomadic project drawing from a wide range of music influences, life experiences, and living under the ever crumbling political reality of global capitalism, patriarchy, white supremacy, and imperialism.

Fusing retro synthesizers, dark cinematic science fiction themes, post-rock, electronic music, IDM, synthwave, darkwave, downtempo, instrumental hip-hop, indie electronic, witch house, and various other influences, CNJR covers a vast musical spectrum that is meant to inspire a journey. Psychedelic, dark, ominous, but with a touch of hope and the complexity of survival, CNJR’s music explores a nuanced range of emotional palettes.

Kingdom Of Birds – ‘Goodbye’

About Kingdom Of Birds

Kingdom of Birds have been grabbing the attention of unsuspecting audiences, international music blogs, and well-known musicians alike. At an age when most kids are only becoming aware of popular music, Kingdom of Birds (ages 11-16) are releasing their fourth collection of original songs Glitz (recorded by Aaron Holmberg, formerly of the Tragically Hip’s Bathouse Studio). They have played over 50 shows, and have opened for acts such as Sarah Harmer, and Partner. Kingdom of Birds has been played on CBC, been a featured Spotify ‘Fresh Find’, performed on CP24’s Breakfast, and have played Toronto’s Field Trip Music and Arts Festival. KOB opened the 2016 edition of Sarah Harmer’s and Luther Wright’s annual holiday rock show, and guitarist/vocalist/principal songwriter Ása Berezny toured with the Hidden Cameras, a trip that included a stop at legendary Massey Hall (where she shared the stage with the likes of Feist and Ron Sexsmith). The band returned to the studio this past year and the resulting album is out and amazing!

Kingdom of Birds derive their name from a chapter title in the book, “Wildwood” by author/Decemberist, Colin Meloy

Rookley – ‘RUSH’

About Rookley

Rookley, sonorous incarnation of Brooklyn, has not always been a New York based Producer. Making all his way from a small city in the south of Europe, he finally found his vein, settling in a NY apartment. Rookley is connected to street art as much as to electronica, he mirrors atmospheres from all around the city and combines them in an organic and playful way, leaving one with the impression of how much Rookley knows himself as well as he knows the void, the one that’s waiting, in all of us.

Rookley brings out the things that have to be said about the city but can’t, in his music. He wraps dark alley entrees into singing synth, street sayings into bass rhythm, and the colors he sees in compositions of time.

Initiated in NY, Rookley puts together his poetic view on life evolving on the street and blooming in the roughness of Brooklyn-style red brick. His sound can be described as organic, knocking synth-and-bass combos that go together with soft guitar blinks. Rookley has always followed a path of his own, facing himself, even forgetting everything he had known to this point. He worked hard to develop his own thoughts, mind and his sound.
There is no face to the Rookley-project, in his desire to put music before everything else, the only connotations brought from him are the many videos, collages and street interventions. Rookley inspired his music by Moderat, Flume, Burial and Boards of Canada, but at some point he went on to do his exceptional own work: Serving up the ambiance of urban scenery, of inner black and white contrast, into thriving electronica tracks.
