Lowly Light – ‘Do You Feel Me’

About Lowly Light

Lowly Light is the pseudonym for Matt Gorny. Coming from an indie-rock background, Gorny has written songs and recorded vocals for dance artists such as Ultra Nate and Amanda Lepore, but never saw it as his genre. In 2020, he started to push himself outside his comfort zone and, as a fan of left-field dance pop, embraced the opportunity to combine infectious melodies, tight percussion and electronic production. The sound of Lowly Light is a still-evolving journey, from the more straight-up dance-pop of first single “Lose You” to the more funky and soulful second song, “Do You Feel Me”, featuring vocals by C. Joleene and co-production by Thony Ritz.

Her infectious songs seep into your head as this self-proclaimed ‘anti-pop star’ transcends the boundaries and limits of the genre with her DIY and hands-all-over approach.

Left Field Messiah – ‘Feels Like Summer’

About Left Field Messiah

For Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat), Jeremy Ruzumna (Fitz and The Tantrums) and Erik Janson (Wildling), Left Field Messiah is their embrace of their internal calling: a rallying cry to document their impulsive, weird, eclectic and even ugly ideas. Their music teeters between soul and dark funk in one moment, and quickly disintegrates into howling rock on the next. In this age of endless distraction, we need to embrace our moments of internal rebellion and find a lane to express it. For Bays, Ruzumna and Janson, Left Field Messiah is that—their search for a way out.
