Jennie Lawless – ‘Notice of Visit’

About Jennie Lawless

Jennie Lawless is a songwriter/producer/artist based in Los Angeles. She grew up twenty miles northwest of Chicago and always makes a point of telling people she’s from the Chicago suburbs so she won’t upset any Chicagoans. This is a big deal there. Before moving to LA in 2019, she lived and performed in Minneapolis for seven years. After the end of her duo Warehouse Eyes, she formed this solo project in a low-stakes effort to seek independence as a songwriter. Jennie writes playful songs driven by wonky synths, lush harmonies, and sincere lyrics. She thinks this is the most Jennie stuff she’s ever made.

Partefacts – ‘Time Travel’

About Partefacts

Partefacts are the spray of confetti on your rug, the balloons lingering half-way up your wall. They are also a band featuring Canadian multi-instrumentalist Christa Belle and Australian producers Lani Bagley and Craig Schuftan of Ducks!. Born in Berlin after a big night out morphed into a day of instrument swapping and studio experimentation, Partefacts’ music is a psychedelic collage of noisy synths, cosmic disco and interlocking vocals, arranged and rearranged until it satisfies the trio’s lust for pop.

The Demos – ‘Nothing Is As It Seems’

About The Demos

The Demos create a brand of musical energy all their own. Lyric-centered and heavy on the harmonies, their songs are upbeat, lush reflections on love – the possible, present, and past. After working with Joywave’s Daniel Armbruster on their last EP “If You Only Knew”, The Demos caught the attention of many press outlets, musicians, and fans alike. This gained them support slots playing with bands such as Cold War Kids, Foster the People, as well as tours with multiple national recording acts such as Joywave, grandson, Jukebox the Ghost and The Aces. After spending a year writing in quarantine (all via Skype, over the phone and other unconventional methods of song writing), this NY indie/alternative powerhouse is gearing up to release a myriad of singles in 2021 that the band is dubbing their best yet.

Hunter Cahill – ‘Goddamn’

About Hunter Cahill

Originally hailing from the same Albuquerque music scene that produced The Shins, Hunter Cahill got his start as a member of seminal Southwestern indie rockers Oh, Ranger! After releasing three full lengths, he longed to escape the confines of his high desert upbringing. He moved to the Northwest where he worked as a touring musician for several established Seattle bands, supporting multiple national tours providing bass, guitar, keyboards and backing vocals.

While in Seattle, Cahill released “The Album That Killed Its Parents” under the Gray Beast moniker with his childhood friend, an early example of the emerging Indie R&B sound. But again he felt restless, and missed the warm Southern climate of his childhood, so Cahill relocated to Austin, Texas with the intention of recording his debut solo release.

The Caoivín project takes influence from the range of musical styles which Wade has been exploring from that point up until now, while being rooted at the same time to the long unbroken lineage of traditional music on which the he was reared.
