After 20 years of wishing, Marissa Kephart set out to make music for the first time. Using the extra space allotted to her during lockdown she found the courage to finally pick up the guitar and start singing. “Hopes & Horoscopes” is the second demo she took to music teacher, multi-instrumentalist and producer Scott Yoshimura (The Envy Corps, Canby) following the release of their first song “Meet Me Halfway” this fall. The two quickly understood their creative energies and influences aligned, and they formed Elison. Inspired by bands like Slow Pulp, My Bloody Valentine, Broken Social Scene, and Alvvays they’ve created a sound all their own.

Christopher Ryangoma Tabaro (born January 27, 1995), known as Chris Goma, is an American-born Canadian singer-songwriter, arranger, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. Goma’s unique style (Hypno Funk) fuses elements of rhythm and blues, hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, and electronic music.
Chris Goma was born in Boston, Massachussetts after his parents fled the Rwandan Genocide. His father, Ignace (Ntirushwamaboko) Ryangoma, had received a full-bright scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston & walked over 100 kilometres with his then pregnant wife, Marianne, and Goma’s older brother, Christian, in order to board a plane to the United States. In 1997, Goma’s family moved from Boston to Canada with refugee status.
Goma was first introduced to music at a young age by his father. He picked up the keyboard at the age of 7. It wasn’t until he turned 12 years of age that he picked up his core instrument, the electric bass.
He is now based in Los Angeles, California & is preparing to release his EP FREEDOM on January 18, 2022.

Maddy Brown (Madelyn Wright Brown) found her voice through many different genres of music, which ultimately shaped her musical direction in the form of unique blending of choral harmonies, jazz-influenced melodies, and pop-infused R&B instrumentals.
With an exceptional familial background in music, intensive vocal and opera training, and in-depth jazz studies, Maddy’s singing and songwriting abilities are largely influenced by her time as a voice major at the Cal State Fullerton School of Music. However, though she gained essential skills and knowledge musically during her time in music school, Maddy often found herself overworked, struggling with writer’s block, and burnt out creatively. She finally found space throughout the pandemic — both in time and emotions — to finally express and voice her thoughts through her own music as Maddy Brown.

Pathion is a 4 piece classic soft rock band i formed whilst in the British Army to write and record around 20 original, heartfelt songs for our album Cautionary tales. Many of these were used in the low budget movies we were making in our spare time. We are on most streaming services and social media, but desire to get our music heard in a larger capacity.
