The Silver Bars – ‘Man in the Sky’
About The Silver Bars
Initially starting as a duo in a small town in the North-West of England, founders of The Silver Bars Dylan Grafton (vocalist and rhythm guitar) and Phil McArthur (keyboard/synth) set out gigging on their local circuit, attracting large crowds to open mic nights and gaining a consistently strong following with a wide mix of quirky and unorthodox cover songs; which would later spawn the original sound of the band letting it flourish into what is a breath of fresh air to the music world. Having received suggestions to strip the line-up back and create a full band, more members were brought into the group with Kieran Hackett (lead guitar), Elliott Jones (bass guitar) and Matthew Grosvenor (drums) to finish the line-up.
The band wrote and recorded their first single ‘Joni, I’m Mad Too’ as they formed together in December 2019, whilst they spent the rest of their time playing live up until its release of March 2020. Through lockdown The Silver Bars stayed active, sending each other riffs and chord sequences online, until it was safe once again to practice together in the summer months. By this time the band had naturally evolved with time as members bonded over common influences such as The Strokes, Radiohead, and Everything Everything. Taking off in a new direction musically and geographically, the band travelled to The Ranch Production House in Southampton to work with established producer Neil Kennedy. Their debut EP ‘No Luxuries’ is expected to be released early 2021

The New Twentys – ‘I Never’
About The New Twentys
Harry and Jimmy Morris met fellow muso Chris Bourne through the cracks of the London music scene. As the conversational lyrics unravelled it was clear that everyone was on the same page, coming to terms with both industry and life frustration. Inspired by the same classic UK punk / new wave bands that came before them – The New Twentys were born in the summer of 2019.
With a punk-informed emphasis on independent artistry; The New Twentys have spent the last year and a half developing and self-producing the project. The band have split their creative time between their own home studios and a beach house in Cornwall, where they created music that feels completely authentic and true to the 3 members – “its 100% in house and entirely independent”.
