Former Gridlink guitarist Takafumi Matsubara shares single ‘Stuttered Rope’ featuring Full of Hell’s Dylan Walker

Takafumi Matsubara, the brutal grindcore artist and former member of American band Gridlink, has shared ‘Stuttered Rope‘, the lead single of his upcoming LP ‘Strange, Beautiful And Fast‘ featuring sludge metal band Full of Hell’s Dylan Walker on vocals. The short track also features Matsubara’s former Gridlink bandmate Bryan Fajardo (on drums, of course), and Black Ganion bassist Hiroyuki Uno.

The single is the first of seventeen tracks on ‘Strange, Beautiful And Fast‘, an album dedicated to Matsubara’s friend Hee-Chung, drummer of Unholy Grave, who passed away in January of 2015. The LP which has been four years in the making is said to be not only paying condolences to Hee-Chung, but also “celebrates the friendships that grindcore has brought to him through these years of up’s and down due to his health.” The mutual love of “fast and strange music” is what binds the exorbitant amount of featured artists together with Matsubara on this latest album.
