We are more than excited to exclusively premiere the most recent video by electronic post-punk project from Philadelphia, Cemetery Flowers. ‘Lotion‘ is an intense audiovisual treat for those who dare ‘dive’ in an endless noise/post-punk/electronic abyss and may never find their way out. The video by Lauren Kartens & Federico Casanova perfectly matches the dystopic universe, Cemetery Flowers create and you should definitely check out.

Contradicting Bob Marley’s quote about music: “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”. Well, sometimes it does…

Press Notes:

Cemetery Flowers is the electronic/post-punk project of Philadelphia-based Andrew North and Pat Friel. Since their formation in early 2015, the duo has created menacing soundscapes by combining brooding electronics with the snarl and intensity of 90’s noise rock.

Their newest video for Lotion is a collaboration between multi-media artists Lauren Karstens and Federico Casanova. The video begins with a veiled figure stalking the neon-blurred streets of Miami after dark. The pair utilizes bleak, surrealistic imagery juxtaposed with vibrant mosaics, rich crimson hues, and the lush Floridian city space to pull the viewer into a phantasmagoric fever dream.

Lotion is the first single from the upcoming record by Cemetery Flowers, titled Lotion. It will be released digitally and on cassette by Glowing Dagger Records in Late Winter, 2019.
