Tonight we are on cloud nine, for the exclusive track premiere on Last Day Deaf of German producer CRONAM‘s ‘Endless Cycles‘. This 7-minute opus is a savage minimal techno beast, with proto-industrial and electro elements, and a slow-burner, almost sadistically gradual climax, for the daring ones. Do not expect quick crescendos, nor uplifting melodies; This is as minimal as we may get, but it’s 100% underground, and destined for all techno, real addicts. No trends, just immense power…. Beneath the “dark room”!
The idea behind the track “Endless Cycles” is to create an enigmatic, intoxicating sound to immerse the listener into a journey without a beginning nor an end. A captivating energy pulsating forward soaking in every listener. The track was recorded live in the studio room using modular synthesizers and lots of cables for the patching.
Starting out as a turntablist in the late 90ies, CRONAM’s original underground style has morphed into an amalgamation of many things as he’s progressed as a musician and forged ahead with a myriad of productions that cross the borders between Techno, IDM, DNB and Future Beats. As a seasoned software engineer by trade – creating music has been always a big part of his live. One of the most important things to him is the expression of his thoughts and emotions through music and therefore the creation of an original sound inspired by the universe.
