8 recent gems from the dark spectrum, from dark wave to cold wave and from minimal synth to post punk, and everything in between as long as its “bleak”. Essential for every “creature of the night”!

Belgian band Top of Mind recently released their 4-track EP ‘Mesmerised’, and the closing track ‘The Boys Are Singing’ is a “mesmerising” mixture of nervy 80s post punk, new wave with elegant disco hints… And the bass is just incredible bringing in mind the glorious ‘Joy Division’-era “Hooky”!

Finnish synth-pop duo Sin Cos Tan’s latest, 2nd single from their upcoming fourth album, ‘More Than I Can Love’, is an adorable synth-pop treasure with a super catchy chorus, ideal for the summer flirts! Catchy, melodic and directly seeping into your brain!

The Sweet Kill’s ‘Satellite’ finds the one-man post punk, dark & gothic artist, at his very best, and even “darker” than his recent releases. Anthemic melodies, divine guitar solos and 80s gothic rock influence, so definitely a Dystopia must-listen!

Melbourne based, 2 piece Answers’ ‘Home’ is a highly addictive blend of shoegaze, post punk and and wave, that will keep you 100% engaged from start to finish. No intros, no outros… Goal from kick off!

1st Base Runner just released an intense official music video for the up-tempo post-punk anthem ‘Planter’, directed by frequent collaborator Heather Gildroy. Unique stuff on endless repeat!

Italian band Korobu consists of vetarans of the Italian u/g, and ‘Dropped Pleasure’ is a fine sample from their 2022 debut album ‘Fading Building’. Dark indie rock mixed with post punk, kraut and a healthy dose of experimentation to lift off the experience. Dope!

Vox Humana’s ‘Dysphoria’ is perhaps the most oustanding track from their 2021 full-length ‘Desperations for the Modern Era’… An upbeat, noise rock/post punk “oddity” with cataclysmic drumming!

Finishing with the German behemoths Deus Ex Lumina, and their dark wave/EBM magnum opus ‘Dark Days’, that will set the gothic dancefloors on fire! If you like stuff like And One, Bluetengel & :wumpscut:, then this one’s unmissable for you!
