Barnstorming new track follows national radio support & UK/European dates
Fast-rising Manchester alt-rockers The Elephant Trees have released their new single Open Up via HA! Music on all download/streaming platforms. A two and a half minute blast of big riffs and raw lyrics that celebrate the freedom of being your true self, the new track follows airplay with Virgin Radio, BBC Introducing and European tour dates with Boyce Avenue.
“Open Up is story of falling in love with someone when you’re not ready to fall” explains singer & songwriter Martha Phillips. “Instead of living in denial, it’s an encouragement to go with the flow, embrace and celebrate it.”
Despite only releasing their debut single in February of this year, The Elephant Trees have amassed an impressive list of accolades and achievements. Virgin Radio’s Edith Bowman sung the band’s praises when they became finalists in the station’s Summer Fresh competition, and Martha impressed BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens as one of Fender Unsigned’s Top Three artists in October. The video for the band’s most recent single Monster received over 25,000 views inside a few days of release, and Open Up is set to cement their position as one of the most explosive new alternative bands in the UK.
