So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish‘ is the latest release by supergroup A Perfect Circle, another single from their new album ‘Eat The Elephant‘ (available on April 20).

Its title (and more) is a reference to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy” by Douglas Adams, but the song is actually commemorating the recent passing of massive pop culture icons. Gene Wilder, Carrie Fisher, Muhammad Ali, David Bowie and Prince include the stars whose lives and huge impact are celebrated in this dreamy parade.

With a grandiose art rock song and seriously touching lyrics they come to remind us that the times when we were small and time felt insanely slow are long gone. We have grown up folks and time seems to be ticking — ticking for us all. Hell, if the final curtain call has arrived for people who came to be milestones in the lives of so many people, where do we all stand? What are we doing with our lives? Let’s not waste every second dime. This is how I woke up today.
