What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

Hi! My name is Felipe Schwarz and I started doing music in 2003. I was a very freaky boy, diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. The music was my safe place of bullying. It seemed the only thing that I could do right. So, I did a lot of freak music. It’s very a difficult task start a band when you doesn’t to relate with another neurotypes guys, so I had many bands that did not go right. In 2016, I found another freak autist (Andres Vega) and we start to make music together. So, then came The Midas Reverse project. In 2018, we release the EP “Empty” and two more singles: “UVB 76” and “6, 7, 8… Enough!”. Now we found another crazy guys: Jonathan Machado, Tairel Lopes and Gabriel Smith, that joined to us. We believe that our crazy experimental tracks help us to find a connection with this mad world and take us to a safe place, like when we were kids.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

Our last release is “6, 7, 8… Enough” and that I can say for now is there’s a new song that will release soon. “6, 7, 8… Enough” talks about bullying. When we’re children we have shame of who we are. The bad kids try to put us in a box and shake it us. The song try to say: “Don’t worry… just dance…the pain will pass” or something.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

So… this is a very difficult question. But the music influences to us resume are Radiohead, Björk and Slowdive. And a lot of another music things. A non-music? I like to say there are a mix of philosophy and math, but it’s not so complex. I like to read Nietzsche and Bauman, and in fact this it’s showed in composition in my way (in a bad way, I suppose haha).

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

Our songs have a many things to say, I suppose. They represent all of agony to live in nowadays (even more so if you are autistic). We mixed a lot of lines and effects (and rhythms) to simulate a atypical brain and we try bring to the songs all of this melancholy we feel. The atmosphere that we do try create aims to bring the listener to travel to our freak world and cativate him know better that we’re trying to say.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Oh! I would take my “Ocean Rain” from Echo and The Bunnymen…

“Thus Spoke Zarathustra” from Nietzsche,

and “Requiem for a dream” from Aronofsky. Maybe… “Twin Peaks”?

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

I do prefer live performing. It’s so magic see the people connecting with our music. The live performances can be at the same time terrify and wondrous.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Here in Brazil it’s common some live performances on trucks that are called trio-elétrico. But as I’m afraid of height and I peed my pants. So I told the people who were at the concert that I had knocked beer down my pants. But I do not think anyone had believe that story (haha).

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

The track that I find most original is “So Why.” This song blends all of our work together and best represents how I feel in this world. This is our most complex work.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

We intend to release our first album in this year. This album will be represents a new phase which we are safer than we are doing like a band and will be released perhaps by a second half of 2019.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…

Our free question… So… I would do say that we very happy with the people that we are reaching and who that identify with our music.

This is the most important thing to us. We would never imagine that there are so many people that feels like us and I would like to say: You’re not alone! Hold on!
