What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

Osmunda Music aka Rebecca Trujillo Vest is an artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, warrior goddess, earth mother… a force of nature.
As a young girl, she began singing and playing guitar in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Rebecca found private moments shared with her guitar, a nurturing experience she describes as similar to a mother’s love. She eventually moved to Los Angeles and has traveled the world extensively.
Drawing inspiration from life, love & all things beautiful, she weaves sublime melodies into her high vibrational lyrics and sends positive messages to the universe.
Live from the heart

The essence of “Munda” is about diversity – diversity in culture, humanity, and love, which is expressed in Rebecca’s lyrics, music, and performances.
“I feel this journey is about experiencing ultimate peace and understanding on our planet at this moment!”
Rebecca’s inspiration for this album “Munda” came about during her travels for over a year with her Martin Backpacker guitar through Europe, Israel and India. By reaching even further into a creative extension of herself, she wrote and performed with a variety of musicians. “I felt like a part of me was born, a part that I’d like to share with the world.”

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

I like both options. Each has different feelings, expression & emotions.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

4 of my siblings & I were in a band for a talent show. At 5 years old, I was the go-go dancer!

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

“Great Spirit” – this piece was originally a Native American prayer that I set to music. It stands outside of the traditional realm of songwriting but is a crucial & powerful piece from tribal culture.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

I will be releasing my second album “Love Will Overcome” on July 26. It’s very exciting. You can always find up to date information at https://osmundamusic.com/.
