What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I started making music out of a need to vent and escape from the world. In music, I found my artistic dimension, a refuge from this world full of suffering and tragedy. With ISF, my crew, and with DVNTT, the label with which I released my first record, I found my size.
Nigh/T\mare fully represents my nightmares, my fears, and my perception of the world.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

It is a project born about two years ago, in a period where episodes of sleep paralysis manifested more and more frequently.
With “Hypnagogia” I tried to reproduce the feelings of emotional stress I felt during that period.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Life itself and past experiences influence me the most both in music and in everyday actions. Living in an unhappy and non-prosperous cultural context did the rest. Italy, and in particular the South, is experiencing a period of incredible cultural decadence, the result of politics and a system that is convenient for an elite few and which defuses all forms of underground culture.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

I try to make my sound unique and to brand it in focus through my musical visions. I never want to standardize research and production by being influenced by what is “hype” at this or that moment. I can indicate the experimentation and the melody applied to it as coordinates to start describing my music; the rest of the evaluations I leave to those who will come into contact with it.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Albums:
Ben Frost – Aurora [Bedroom Community]
Luca D’Alberto – Endless [K7Records]
Lakker – Tundra [R&S]

Movies:
La vita è bella
The Green Mile
Martyrs

As for books, I’ve never read one…

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

In the studio, I find inspiration and live in symbiosis with music.
Live (live or dj set), I’m able to include the audience, and together with an audience you create the perfect combination.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

I would not call it funny, but exciting. I have found people who believe in me and who gave me the opportunity to emerge as an artist. These include all the labels with which I have released my works, Thrènes and DVNTT, in addition to my crew and the people who are close to me.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Without a doubt, the track “Despite Everything” which was released on my last Ep for Thrènes. This is mainly because I wanted to give it a cinematic vision, which differs a lot from the rest of the works I have released up until now.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

Grow and evolve the Nigh/T\mare project to the fullest.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…
