What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I was drawn to music at an early age. It just spoke to me… all instruments. The guitar first fascinated me as a child, then into my teenage years and has continued to do so throughout my life. I did take a hiatus for a while and while doing so expanded into other instruments and forms. The current incarnation, Infinite Medium came from that.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

Decayed Resonance was my first release. It was a definite labor of love. I am a perfectionist and as a result, it took almost half a decade to complete. With the fast paced life we live, I started composing tracks that would help me to achieve a deep state of calm, reflection and a meditative state with a focus on REM Sleep. I thought that if the album did this for me, it could potentially do the same for others so I decided to release it.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Music influences include Pink Floyd, Robin Guthrie, Brian Eno and Harold Budd.

Non-musical influences include Lomography and Hiking.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

Decayed Resonance is different due to the way that it was realized…utilizing inherent limitations. Analog tape captures a moment in time and the tracks on this album were recorded in real time, to capture and convey the true performance in that moment. The sound can be minimal and vast at the same time. If you allow it… the music allows you to disconnect from the cares of the world.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

That’s a really hard question…Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon, Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror, David Bowie – Outside

Rocky, anything with Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder; X-Files Silence of the Lambs, Big Magic, Zen Guitar.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Studio. My best work is done in solitude. I have always preferred studio albums…I have an interest in sound.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Retrograde. It was an experiment that turned into a track.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

A physical release of Decayed Resonance is in the near future. A new album is in motion.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…
