What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

>> [Stefanos]: I met Pascalis about 10 years ago at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland where we both work on experimental physics. Few years later, we decided to set up a cover band paying tribute to the golden years of the greek indie rock scene (1985-1995) that kept us busy for about 4 years and gave us the opportunity to play numerous gigs in the region. During that period we realized that we have both common musical influences/references and the need of composing our own music. The other members of the cover band did not share the same urge so we decided to continue just the two of us experimenting with some ideas we had. And apparently it worked quite well – not a surprise since experimenting is our job anyway!

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

>> [Pascalis]: Our latest release is an independent production of an EP with 5 tracks, four originals and one cover (our own short & upbeat version of the legendary “The End” by The Doors). All lyrics are based on poems by Stathis Antoniou (a young contemporary poet), with the only exception the chorus line of “Drive” that is borrowed from Robert Frost’s poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”. The EP was recorded in spring 2018 at Dudu Loft Studio in Athens, Greece, and subsequently mixed, mastered and produced by Costas Verigas (member and producer of Afformance).

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

>> [Stefanos]: Non-music wise, we could mention (among many) the street artist Shepard Fairey & the independent journalist Aris Chatzistefanou. Music-wise, our influences are mainly post-punk artists such as Joy Division, Sisters Of Mercy, Interpol and Editors.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

>> [Pascalis]: That is a tricky one, so please allow me to answer starting from the second leg of your question. We would describe our sound as an explosive blend of post punk, alternative/indie rock and shoegaze elements. And as for the first leg of your question, it is really not easy to phrase it. What we could definitely say is that, even-though the basic ingredients may be common with other artists of the same genre, what differs is the way they are blended 🙂

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

>> [Stefanos]: Concerning albums, it is sooo difficult to choose only three but I will give it a try: “OK Computer” by Radiohead, “Thirteenth Step” by A Perfect Circle and “Ennia Pliromena Tragoudia” by (the greek indie rock legends) Trypes. About books, the situation is a bit more clear: “Of mice and men” by John Steinbeck, “Snow country” by Yasunari Kawabata and “Zorba the Greek” by Nikos Kazantzakis. And as for desert island movies, I’d choose two Christmas movies and a summer one, so Die Hard-1, Die Hard-2 and Die Hard-3 (laughs!!!). Seriously now, “A Clockwork Orange” by Stanley Kubrick, “Lost Highway” by David Lynch and “2046” by Kar-Wai Wong.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

>> [Stefanos]: definitely performing live! The interaction between the band and the audience is always something unique that we wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. For that reason we are currently in the process of setting up a band so to start live performances.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

>> [Pascalis]: an interesting fun-fact is that we only met the author of the lyrics Stathis Antoniou for the very first time during the recording of the EP in Athens! And the same with the drummer Kostas Zabos 🙂

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

>> [Stefanos]: ouch! This is almost like asking which one of your children you love the most :). The only thing I can say is that “Deep” seems to be the most popular at the moment.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

>> [Pascalis]: As Stefanos mentioned earlier, we are currently setting up a band and planning a first small tour in Switzerland early 2019 (dates to be announced soon) to present our first EP as well as some new yet unpublished material that will hopefully be recorded in mid 2019.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…

>> [Pascalis]: Actually, I’ve only recently realized that Stefanos, apart from being a sensational guitarist, he is also a talented songwriter, so please stay tuned for our upcoming release!
