What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I have always heard the call within me, my soul just finally decided it was time. I started purchasing beats and recording from my garage last September. Once I answered the call from my soul, the songs poured from me.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

Made of Steel is a song about letting the hard times strengthen you and becoming steel in the process. Everybody has wounds inside; it’s how we fight and survive in spite of those wounds that matters.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Music was always around me. My Dad played a lot of sixties and seventies classic rock in my house. I grew up under the Orange County, CA punk/ska scene while bumping Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and Salt n Peppa in between frequenting punk shows on weekends. Jay-Z dropped the Blueprint and I started going to a lot of Hip Hop shows instead where I found a very loving atmosphere awaited. Non-music influences come from all that is the art realm. Poetry, paintings, photography, whatever it is that stirs my emotions.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

It’s different! There isn’t a current sound to compare it too. My lyrics are meant to awaken love in the world, so listening to it will bring a smile to your face. I offer a new perspective on the genre. It’s positive Hip Hop that will uplift and strengthen the sense of self.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

This is such a hard question for I love so many. I’d probably end up just frolicking in nature and not taking any because I would feel bad for the ones I couldn’t bring.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Both. I LOVE studio writing. There is some kind of magic that occurs with the universe when I’m writing alone. I also love performing and feeling the energy of the people in the crowd.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

The most unique of my tracks I feel is MISFIT. Mostly because I’m talking to an elf. I was inspired by the Claymation Rudolph over the holidays. The misfit elf is a beautiful character in the cast and I identified greatly with his struggle of feeling like he didn’t belong.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

More music awaits! Keep your ear on this Gypsy!
