What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I was inspired through poetry. When I was young I wrote a lot for escapism. I was al-ways home alone and therefore searched for different ways to entertain myself. From dancing around the room singing to listening to music, which later evolved into wanting to tell stories and making up stories. Soon after I was humming melodies too and from school just because. That coupled with my auntie and uncle urging me to freestyle songs when I was young. There was no way I couldn’t be inspired to make music.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

White flag is 1 part of a spectrum I have written for this conceptual EP. It deals with the present the world we are living in right now. White Flag is the breaking point. How far we take ourselves, how far anything can go before enough is enough.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Well my sound is indie/pop/electro, so synths and harmonies I love. I’m not sure about my influences cause I have extremely eclectic taste in music. The closest I would say is probably 80’s especially for this song anyway. I try to create a mood/ feeling rather than sounding like anyone.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

I think lyrics or really speaking to the truth is what I like to do. I know most listeners to-day don’t care for lyrics as much well not at first anyway but it’s what I base everything off. Whether it’s bitter and cold or happy and bountiful. My favourite line “you burn my rules enough to bend” is something I really pictured and felt in my gut.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Hmmm can’t really say I’m a fan of albums but certain songs.
LORDE: Pure Heroine
WONK: (Orange Mug) right now is what I am into, the sonics.
The Wombats: Glitterbug (Greek tragedy)
HAIM: Days are gone (album) great album.
Enjoying Saint JHN too at the moment

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Studio and performing live are both awesome. To be honest when I record I always think I will fix things in the studio and still not once have I, so maybe singing live cause you have to give a damn at that exact point. Leave it all on the stage. I will rectify not fixing things in the studio as I know it makes a huge huge huge difference. I think right now I’m still wanting to have fun with it.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

No stories of yet I’m only getting started I will definitely share all when they happen.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

My most unique track maybe either We are only human or Who killed paradise? Or What have we done Victoria? Actually no Catching fires. Catching fires as this was the first song I wrote on the EP. Almost my mantra to stop being afraid and just put your music out. Stop wasting your time. You can do the impossible. Hence Catching Fires. I also sing in a high falsetto on the first verse which I never normally do in songs. So I think people will find it very interesting and different.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

My future plans is to keep on making music and enjoying it. To keep pushing myself and to only get bigger and better. Tours, sold out concerts, haha one small tiny step at a time. Fingers crossed.
