Costas, Sotiris and Yiorgos met in a rock cafe in Pagrati in 1997 where they formed their first band , a progressive metal group called “Desperate Cry”. After Highschool everyone went on a separate way and they reunited ten years later with the addition of Bilias to continue working on some of the old material. Costas and Bilias bring their compositions in the studio where everyone provides their own perspective that contributes to the end result.
Provide us with some info about your latest release…
A 5 track EP that was recorded live two years ago (5/16) at Sierra as part of our intern sound girl’s (Voula) dissertation. Some guitar and keys parts were added later on at Costa’s living room studio where it was also mixed. The ep was mastered by costa Boudouris a classmate of Costa from Salford Uni.
Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?
Boards of Canada
Non musical influences mainly our interaction both in and out of the studio.
In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?
We try to let the audience decide that. We are only interested in making music that we love and sharing it with people that can appreciate that.
Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…
Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?
Both situations present a musician with creative or practical issues that need to be addressed in order to create art. We like both.
Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?
I (Costa) managed to convince Sotiris and Yiorgos to join my band during our high school years while they were drunk.
Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?
Miranda. Just listen to it..
Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?
Release the EP next month (November), launch a release party for our friends and also invite a few selected friends to play, video shoot the whole thing then work on the new material that s being set up as we speak and then present it live, video shoot the whole thing and so on..
